Searchers recover body of man killed in avalanche - Canada.com

The body of a 33-year-old Calgary skier who was killed Sunday in an avalanche near Revelstoke in eastern B.C. was recovered on Tuesday, RCMP said.

Five other uninjured skiers were also rescued by searchandrescue officials on Tuesday morning after they were stranded Monday due to bad weather.

Four of the men were from Calgary and one was from Fernie, RCMP said.

All were experienced skiers who had spent time in the backcountry together for many years.
